Internship Description:
Part-time paid internship up to 20 hours per week for current undergraduate or graduate students.
LEVERAGE MIAMI Marketing & Communications department performs the full spectrum of communications functions, including graphic design, public relations, social media, media relations, publications, marketing, advertising, support events, and website management.
This social media + communications internship is within the LEVERAGE MIAMI Marketing & Communications department. Primary responsibilities will include supporting the Marketing & Communications team members with inbound marketing requests from other divisions and helping us execute our strategies – including creating graphics, making website updates, creating content for e-newsletters, collateral materials, proofreading, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaboration on design projects resulting in clear, engaging graphics and brand identity-compliant communications. Projects may include branded collateral materials, videos, direct mail pieces, website, and social media graphics, posters, flyers, special event photos, and other marketing materials as needed.
- Maintain email opt-outs and sign-ups for E-newsletter
- Work closely with team members to translate key messaging concepts into marketing materials with a specific focus on the college and young adult demographic
- Assist with editing, proofreading, and communication of changes on projects
- Assist in scheduling social media content and monitoring social media platforms
Requirements:
- Must be currently enrolled in college in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program.
- Minimum of two semesters of major-related coursework completed in one of the following: Graphic Design, Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred
- Exceptional organizational skills and detail-oriented
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strategic thinker and problem solver
- Ability to manage workflow to meet deadlines
- Excellent time management skills
- Working knowledge of Canva, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
- Experience managing a non-personal Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook account preferred
- Ability to work 20 hours per week
